While Brian and Sadie always knew of each other through mutual friends and sports in high school, Sadie never wanted to give Brian a chance despite his efforts. Fun fact, Brian jokingly told one of his groomsmen Josiah on the way to a baseball game that he was going to marry Sadie after stumbling across a picture of her. Eventually Sadie ran off to college and Brian gave up. Come January 2023 Sadie posted a silly dog dad application on her Instagram story and Brian decided this was his time to shine. After successfully catching Sadie's attention they started to text. One night Sadie is working, and Brian suggested he takes her to get dinner when she gets off. Sadie agreed thinking there was no way he was going to drive an hour at 8 p.m. to take her to dinner. Sadie then texts she is off to which Brian replies he is 15 minutes away. Sadie's heart dropped so fast as she was proven wrong and was definitely not date ready after working all day. They end up going to some hole in the wall restaurant as it was the only one open at the time. Sadie decided when Brian went to use the restroom to pay for the whole date after being told not to. Brian was NOT happy about that. It was just a glimpse of how stubborn Sadie truly is. After a few months they decide to make it official, and Sadie slowly started moving all of her stuff in with him as Brian pretended he didn't notice. Brian knew she was the one for him and purposed on November 11th, 2023.
